SistaKeeper membershipis for girls ages 8 to 18, sistas who want to make a difference in their lives and others. We nurture their inner spirit through empowering them to develop all their mental, physical and spiritual gifts. They participate in personal development intensive wrap around sessions, called Sista~circles. We have various membership activities, in the community and on site. All girls begin a journaling process receiving an empowerment packet to learn about self and developing tools for dealing with various issues that may be a stressful reality for today's young lady. All girls participating in the circle must journal and complete assignments that will lead to developing goals and personal development skills that increase and create positive self-esteem. All girls also receive group mentoring and have the opportunity to grow with other girls from various backgrounds, realizing we all are SistaKeepers! Girls have the opportunity to become a member through individual memberships, participating through school programming, after-school activities or on site at our SistaKeeper Empowerment Center. All girls that participate in our circles in summer programs as well as throughout the school year have the opportunity to participate in SistaKeeper Awareness Events; which allows them to spotlight their talents and accomplishments. All girls receive SistaKeeper products representing belonging to a unified group of educated, positive, goal-oriented, female leaders with a defined purpose to succeed holistically! ............................................................................................................................................................................................... Become a Sistakeeper Today! To become a SistaKeeper, the Membership fee is $50.00 a year, this includes your journal, membership card and the opportunity to participate in all community events. Our membership year runs from January to December. Membership, must be renewed in January. All of our circles are open to the public, and the circles are $5.00 for each circle. (There are some members only events throughout the year which are free or low-cost.)
